What is the difference between an individual license and a multi-user license?

An individual license is a simple license for one user and is individually installed on a single Windows PC. On the other hand, the multi-user licenses are designed for multiple users, and they require no end user activation as opposed to the individual license.

There are several multi-user license types for ScheduleReader available for purchase. Depending on the chosen license type the following differences related to the installation process apply:

  • The Company and Enterprise multi-user license are delivered as a single custom-built setup (.msi file) that can be easily deployed, or silently installed throughout the organization.
  • The Concurrent multi-user license is installed on a centralized network server and is shared amongst the network users.

What is the difference between the Company and Enterprise licensing models?

With both license models you will get a custom made MSI installation package that allows you to silently push-deploy the application into all workstations within your organization.

The Company license model is best suited for small to medium-sized companies and contains an exact number of licenses. On the other hand, the Enterprise license model is more suited to accommodate the needs for a larger number of licenses and can contain an unlimited number of licenses.

Additionally, the Enterprise licenses can be used throughout the company’s divisions and subsidiaries and whole-owned entities. The Enterprise license model is available in the form of an Enterprise Unlimited Worldwide license and an Enterprise Unlimited Territory license.

What is the difference between the Enterprise Unlimited Worldwide and the Enterprise Unlimited Territory licensing models?

The Enterprise Unlimited Worldwide license allows the company to use the licenses throughout the company’s divisions, subsidiaries, and whole-owned entities across the globe, while the Enterprise Unlimited Territory license is tied to a specific territory.

Do you offer only subscription-based license plans?

We are driven by the needs of our clients, and we also offer perpetual licensing plans.

The perpetual license plans for the ScheduleReader individual licenses (with included 1 year of Software Maintenance and Assurance) can be directly purchased through our webstore.

The perpetual license plans for the ScheduleReader multi-user licenses are available upon request. We encourage you to contact our sales team for additional information.

Can I upgrade my license for more users?

You can transfer and upgrade your Individual licenses to a Concurrent or Roaming/Citrix license plan. You can also upgrade your Individual Licenses to a Company license plan. Citrix and Concurrent licenses can also be upgraded and incorporated into a Company license plan.

Do you offer Roaming (Citrix) licensing model?

Yes, a Roaming/Citrix version of ScheduleReader is available. To learn more about this license, you can contact our sales team.

What is the difference between Concurrent and Citrix licensing models?

The Concurrent license is based on the maximum number of users who will use the app simultaneously, where the licenses are placed on a centralized server and are shared amongst the network users. The Concurrent licensing model is easily scalable, IT friendly, and provides complete usage tracking through the creation of detailed reports.

The Citrix or Roaming setup on the other hand is installed in a Citrix/Windows Terminal Server environment.

Both models provide a cost-efficient and flexible way to use licenses
